Greg Warner enjoys helping his clients create more positive options to simplify their financial lives.  His clients prefer to focus on more important areas in their life than financial concerns.  “If I can spread some joy in my client’s life by reducing stress and concern about their financial situation, then I have succeeded.”  His goal is to help clients make better decisions about their money using solid, time tested strategies so retirees maintain their lifestyle, and divorcees and widows can get back on track.

Greg has been helping to improve his client’s financial situation for over 28 years and has 35 years of investment experience.  He is a registered representative for Securities America, Inc. and Investment Advisor Representative with Securities America Advisors, Inc. located in Walnut Creek, California.  Greg is licensed to offer securities in the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado,  Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Oklahoma, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Texas and Utah.

Greg is the author of How to Manage Your Retirement Cash Flows and Cookbook for Money, A Woman’s Guide to Create Home, Health and Happiness by Nurturing Themselves Financially.

In discussing his work philosophy in dealing with his clients, Greg speaks with sincerity and conviction:  “Every woman defines her success differently.  It is important to reflect her needs in her financial plan.  I work toward supporting their goals rather than telling them what their goals should be.  What each woman is willing to risk is often different than what man is willing to risk.  Their portfolio needs to reflect their risk preferences.  Woman may not want to have a large portfolio, only to have the garden landscaped.”

Greg’s focus is on retirement planning, tax advantaged investments, and managed money for his clientele of retirees, divorcees and widows.

Graduating from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota, in 1970, Greg earned a bachelor’s degree with a double major in mathematics and economics.  Following college, he served in the United States Navy as a supply officer in several mainland bases and in Guam.

His professional affiliation is membership in the Financial Planning Association and past President for the East Bay chapter.  Under Greg’s leadership the chapter went from silver award to the gold award for excellence.  Greg served as Chairman for the 2004 Northern California Regional Financial Planning Conference for over 400 financial planners in the San Francisco Bay Area.  His community service is as an active member of the Rotary Club of Concord.

To share his expertise with others, Greg has conducted seminars on “How Money Works For You”, “Income Management Strategies”, “Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement”, and “Passport to Retirement”.  In his leisure time, Greg enjoys cooking and is often cooking for his family and friends.  He enjoys skiing, mountaineering, rock climbing, and tennis with his three children.
